Delivering a full experience in the convergence of education and innovation, the first TEDx NCF event successfully kicked off on Saturday, January 25, at the Tanghalang Melchor with a crowd estimate that reached a hundred.

It is recalled that TEDx NCF was first launched in July 2024, with Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) being the first academic institution in the region to have been granted a TEDx license. A series of launch events and dry runs were also held to ensure an effective TEDx event for the Bicolanos.
In a welcome address, Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, expressed his enthrallment at yet another milestone for the institution and that it successfully transpired through collaborative efforts.

โThe original mandate of TEDx is technology, entertainment, and design. But today, we will also incorporate โTโ for training, โEโ for education, and โDโ for development. We put this all together even before the pandemic. There have been a lot of setbacks, but I am grateful that here we are now through the efforts of the organizing committee, โ President Villanueva uttered.
Five high-calibre speakers conveyed the TEDx NCF experience with โideas worth sharingโ, featuring stories of growth, success, and development. Owning the TEDxโs famous red dot and the spotlight, the TEDx NCF speakers offered a fresh perspective on various topics through their vast knowledge and expertise.
On the other hand, local musical groups, namely A.ROAR.A, Karl Ramirez, Ang Kilyab, and NCF Rondalla, delighted the audience with live performances that sparked vibrant energy among the crowd.

The discussions on Leading from Within, Men vs. Machine in Aviation, The Heartbeat of Entrepreneurship in Camarines Sur, Understanding the Complex Factors Behind TS Kristineโs Devastating Impact, and How to Overcome the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) were delivered by seasoned figures: Mr. Raymond Borja, President of RAYZE Training and Personal Development; Dr. Helen Mogan, CEO/Founder of Wings Institute of Global Careers Inc.; Mr. Jay Percival Ablan, Provincial Director of Department of Trade and Industries (DTI) Camarines Sur; Mr. David Michael V. Padua, typhoon specialist and Founder of Typhoon 2000; and Mr. Gregy Nillo, radio host and content creator known as โConyo Bicolano,โ respectively.
