Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) reached a milestone anew as three Tiger executives completed the Social Business Creation (SBC) Learning Expedition 2025 held at HEC Montréal, Quebec, Canada, on August 11 to 24—catapulting the institution’s causes in the global scene.

Out of more than a hundred applications from business professionals and enthusiasts worldwide, three delegates from NCF were among the 14 selected participants for an extensive learning expedition that delved into sustainable business, artificial intelligence, and social innovation.

The three-member delegation was composed of Mr. Jason Keith V. Boñaga, Vice President for Sustainability, Innovation, and Enterprise Development (SIED); Mr. Nico A. Ogarte, Assistant Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Sustainability (RIES); and Mr. Harvin G. Ong, Director of TIGRE TBI.

Based on its official website, the SBC is a leading global platform for social entrepreneurship education ranging from students to professionals, with the primary mission of producing “socially responsible” business people across borders.

The two-week affair advanced a unique integration of academic excellence, practical industry immersion, and applied innovation training through a series of activities, including immersive learning tracks, expert-led lectures and masterclasses, and guided tours with innovative companies and organizations, which provided participants with the foundational knowledge from a renowned international institution like the HEC Montréal.

Through the unyielding efforts in both academic and business development, Mr. Boñaga was invited as a professional expert, while Mr. Ogarte and Mr. Ong were granted full scholarships for the said program.

This feat guarantees the birth of revolutionary ideas that will foster contemporary skills essential for addressing complex global challenges along with potential ventures and studies relevant to academic and industry collaborations.

Moreover, the delegates extended their gratitude to the NCF community for their support throughout the endeavor, vowing to change the game by adopting theoretical concepts and discoveries for the development of sustainable, mission-driven objectives of the institution.
