Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) gained recognitions for its athletic prowess and sustained commitment to sports development at the National MILO Marathon 2025 – Naga Leg on October 12, 2025—conforming to its title as the Home of the Champions.
First on the list was the Gawad Bansay Atleta conferred upon Dr. Nelba O. Olaso, Vice President for Sports, Culture, and the Arts, “in recognition of her exemplary achievements in athletics and her enduring dedication to nurturing sports excellence and discipline among the youth.”
The award also acknowledged Dr. Olaso as a “trailblazer in Philippine track and field,” citing her as an individual whose “lifelong devotion to sports has inspired generations to pursue greatness with perseverance, integrity, and heart.”
RUNRIO, which lauded Dr. Olaso, is a premier race organizer in the Philippines that produces world-class running events, often with a focus on sports tourism and community engagement.
Adding a feather to its cap, the NCF Tigers Pep Squad bagged the championship title in the MILO National Marathon Cheerdance Competition 2025 (College Division) – Naga Leg, defeating all competing teams with their commanding mat presence and precise routines that stunned the crowd.
The National MILO Marathon 2025 – Naga Leg recorded over 11,100 runners, a turnout that, according to MILO Philippines, “once again proved why they are a City of Champions.”
With nearly 6,000 participants out of 11,100 total runners, NCF was recognized as the Biggest Delegation, handily surpassing the 5,000 NCeans who ran in the 2016 Naga City MILO Marathon.
