Elevating its healthcare education to global standards, the College of Health Sciences (CHS) of Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) has officially secured strategic clinical and institutional affiliations with the Healthcare and Technology Institute, Inc. (HCT Academy) and the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) following a series of partnership explorations by the CHS in Metro Manila.
The milestone partnerships, led by Dr. Stanley O. Dy, Dean and Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences, are intentionally designed to provide nursing and allied health students of NCF with advanced, hands-on clinical training, exposing them to specialized medical environments and state-of-the art technologies.

HCT Academy, established in 2007, is known for its revolutionary approach to healthcare education through an emphasis on simulation-based training and the integration of modern technologies, international industry linkages, and global academic benchmark.
Under the partnership with the HCT Academy, CHS student-clinicians will gain access to trailblazing program coverages including Cardiac Monitoring and ECG Interpretation, Central Venous Pressure Monitoring Demonstration, Emergency Medication Administration, Leadership and Management Simulation, and Integrated Emergency Response Simulation.
The partnership is powered by the Health Care Technology Saturday Clinical Simulation Rotation (HCT-SCSR), which, as described in the agreement, is “designed to strengthen clinical competence, critical thinking, emergency preparedness, nursing leadership, teamwork, and patient safety through simulation-based healthcare education.”
Driven by dynamic education and simulation, HCT Academy will provide qualified trainers, facilitators, simulation specialists, and lecturers, as well as equipment and facilities for students, while administering competency assessments and demonstrations to vouch that all simulation activities are aligned with healthcare education standards and patient safety principles.
According to Dean Dy in a statement on social media, the alliance of NCF and HCT Academy will “expose the students to immersive simulation activities, interactive VR learning environments, and innovative training approaches designed to enhance clinical skills, critical thinking, and patient care competencies,” accentuating NCF’s commitment to “providing future nurses with modern, technology-driven learning experiences that bridge theory and real-world clinical practice.”

The affiliation with the prestigious Philippine Heart Center (PHC), according to the sealed agreement, will guarantee “maximum opportunity for the students to gain experience and training, utilizing available materials and equipment of the hospital without impairing its services to the patient.”
Being the premier cardiovascular institution in the archipelago, PHC is highly recognized as one of the busiest congenital heart surgery centers in Asia and is renowned for providing specialized, accessible, world-class cardiology care.
Two CHS clinical instructorsโMs. Ava Marie Claro and Ms. Emelita Perfiรฑanโhave successfully completed their preceptorship training in May 2026 in preparation for the partnership and to further strengthen clinical instruction and student learning experiences at NCF.
Both partnerships with the HCT Academy and PHC will take effect starting in the academic year 2026-2027, prioritizing students’ invaluable internship pathways, high-fidelity practice, and professional mentorship from top-tier medical practitioners in the country’s leading healthcare networks.
