Solidifying its thrust to becoming one of Bicolโs renowned technology hubs, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) hosted the IMAGDD: Innovation in Multimedia, Animation, and Game Design Development Conference on May 8 and 9 at the NCF main campus.

Spearheaded by the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), in collaboration with the Panthera Tigris Game Developers Association-GDAP NCF Chapter, students from different schools and universities in Naga City convened for the tech-based forum, including the students of the College of Computer Studies (CCS).

The two-day affair served as an avenue for the students, IT enthusiasts, agencies, and industry partners to initiate meaningful discussions, exchange innovative ideas, and partake in interactive activities fostering technological development and digital advancements in academic and corporate settings.

From game demonstrations to animation exhibits and keynote talks, the participants acquired newfound learnings and personal insights directly from the seasoned professionals and magnatesโestablishing a firm bridge between education and the tech companies as opportunities in studentsโ career options grew larger.
Realizing a research-based and industry-oriented curriculum, the CCS, led by Dr. Anna Loretta C. Romulo, College Dean, held a formal turnover ceremony of the developed tech-based projects of three of their senior students on May 15 at the MTV Board Room.

Joshua Ivan E. Villanueva, a senior Computer Science student, developed the PFT Record Management System, a data storage that seeks to aid the day-to-day tracking and operations of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO).
On the other hand, Lorenzo Jay R. Pantalla and Napoleon R. Torres, senior Information Systems students, joined hands in presenting their developed technology, the Cybercrime Records and Incident Management System (CRIMS), to the Camarines Sur Provincial Cyber Response Team (CSPCRT). The program offers an advanced and efficient approach to monitoring cybercrime records of law enforcement personnel.

Beyond the fulfillment of their practicum requirements, the three student developers are now equipped and ready to apply practical solutions to real-life dilemmas, which a significant contributions to industry practice and efficiency.
The turnover ceremony was personally witnessed by Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, along with Dr. Nora Elizabeth F. Maniquiz, Vice President for Academic Affairs; PCAPT Angelo A. Babagay from the CSPCRT; PLTCOL Venerando F. Ramirez, DPDA, of the CSPPO; and Ms. Junice B. IlaganโJapa, Practicum Coordinator.
