Reinforcing collaboration among healthcare education luminaries, a four-member delegation from Bicol University–Gubat Campus (BUGC) in Sorsogon conducted a benchmarking visit at the College of Health Sciences (CHS) of Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) on March 6, 2026, at the NCF Main Campus.

In an official letter of intent sent to NCF on February 9, 2026, BUGC sought to gain insights into NCF’s “best practices, policies, and innovative strategies in the implementation of the Nursing Program,” particularly in the areas of curriculum development, instruction, clinical training, research, extension services, quality assurance, and outcomes-based education (OBE).

Dr. Stanley O. Dy, Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences and CHS Dean, welcomed the BUGC delegates to the trailblazing and top-of-the-line laboratories of CHS: the Mini Hospital, Operating and Delivery Room (OR/DR) Simulation Center, Midwifery and Nursing Proficiency Labs, and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Simulation Hub—home of the high-fidelity patient simulator, ‘Alex,’ the first of its kind in the region.

Dr. Dy, in his dialogue with the BUGC delegation, affirmed that this “strategic cooperation” does not just represent a complementary alliance between NCF and BUGC, but also serves as a conduit for validating each institution’s established policy frameworks, practices, and approaches in the transformative rigor of healthcare education.
