A rare double victory: Dean Pellejera, CamSur chapter sweep top annual PICPA awards

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) honored Ms. Lorence Aster B. Pellejera, Acting Dean of the College of Accountancy and Finance (CAF), and the PICPA Camarines Sur Chapter as the Most Outstanding Chapter President and Most Outstanding Chapter, respectively, during the 80th PICPA Annual National Convention on November 18 in Pasay City. 

According to PICPA, Dean Pellejera has exhibited “distinguished achievements and exemplary performance as a dynamic and dedicated president of the Camarines Sur chapter.”

PICPA also recognized Dean Pellejera’s leadership, which resulted in the accomplishment of “noteworthy programs and projects that benefited the members, community, and the accountancy profession.”

Due to its success in steering significant and impactful needs-based community outreach projects and for “upholding good governance in its financial and administrative reporting compliance,” the Camarines Sur Chapter was also hailed as the Most Outstanding Chapter by PICPA. 

PICPA added that the Camarines Sur Chapter’s achievements—which include “ensuring the professional growth and development of its members and enhancing the institutional capacity of the chapter”—are commendable and worthy of emulation by other chapters. 

As the official accredited integrated professional organization of certified public accountants recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the PICPA is responsible for uniting all sectors of the profession while upholding high standards of ethical and professional practice.
