Underscoring its aggressive stance on technological integration and regional leadership, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) took center stage as a key major sponsor, panel driver, and premier exhibitor during the 10th Convergence of Luzon ICT Champions Conference and Exhibit (ClickConEx) 2026, held from June 19 to 21 at the Summit Hotel, Naga City.

The high-profile digital summit focused intensely on good governance and the activation of a tripartite alliance among government, industry, and the academe, advocating for a technological integration and approach to transparency and public service.

A major highlight of the conference was a powerhouse dialogue on digital leadership featuring prominent national figures, including Senator Bam Aquino, who stressed that the youth are the ultimate drivers of digital civic engagement, and Senator Kiko Pangilinan, who pushed for climate-resilient ‘Smart Agriculture’ to protect national food security through technology.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong also joined the governance tracks, sharing trailblazing insights from his city’s smart-city data models and illustrating how robust local government frameworks can harness data to institutionalize absolute transparency and eliminate systemic corruption.

Complementing these leadership discussions, the summit featured specialized parallel tracks on open government, smart mobility and safer urban systems, and digital commerce, among others.

On the second day, June 20, Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, directly steered the conversation for Track 4, serving as the Panel Moderator for an elite national session centered heavily on Digital Inclusion, E-Health, and Smart Education.

President Villanueva facilitated a dynamic exchange alongside Quezon City Government Administrator Mike Alimurung, DICT Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) Director Rojun V. Hosillos, and Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. Chief Health Officer Dr. Beverly Ho, mapping out secure digital infrastructures and scalable e-health technologies.

Asserting its institutional footprint on the convention floor, NCF stood out as one of the event’s 18 prominent technology exhibitors, drawing major attention to its forward-looking showcases in digital transformation, educational humanoid robotics, and virtual reality.

Solidifying the institution’s collective commitment to the regional ICT ecosystem, a high-level delegation of seven key NCF executives—including Dr. Sheila E. Balid-Bordado, Vice President for Digital Transformation; Dr. Nora Elizabeth F. Maniquiz, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Ms. Teenarose O. Castroverde, Vice President for Administrative and Institutional Affairs; Dr. Edwin Bernal, Vice President for Academic Business Development; Dr. Ronel B. Simon, Research and Extension Director; Mr. Proceso P. Capagas, Technology Resource Center Director; and Mr. Joseph C. Manansala, Information Systems Coordinator and Senior Full Stack Developer—actively participated across the three-day summit.

Through this multi-faceted engagement as a major sponsor, policy moderator, and innovation showcase, NCF successfully reinforces its strategic position as a primary engine of smart, inclusive, and future-proofed regional development.
