With cheers filling the MTV Circle, the Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) community welcomed the holiday season with its annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 9, highlighting the debut of this year’s Christmas ID, ‘Paskong Future-Ready.’

The evening was graced with performances that set a heartfelt tone, culminating in the illumination of the four Advent Wreaths surrounding the Founder’s statue: from soul-stirring serenades by the NCF Chorale and harmonious cadence by the NCF Rondalla, to the sultry spectacle by the NCF Dancesports Team.

Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, delivered a message of ’embracing the future,’ advising the community to ‘always hold on to our faith’ and to navigate future-driven complex challenges ‘with a lot of hope.’

Blending tradition and innovation, the ceremony honored the timeless spirit of Christmastide, as the NCF community converged to illuminate the path toward a more resilient and forward-looking future.

President Villanueva emphasized that this year’s celebration captured the evolving essence of the yuletide season: reinvented by globalization, illuminated by technology, and transformed with AI, and yet firmly rooted in the traditions that unite us.

Accentuating the “season of giving,” Atty. Carlo C. Villanueva, Jr., Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, said that NCF is brimming with pride to guarantee a “future-ready learning experience, from curriculum to facilities” among its students—a “precious gift” that NCF can give.

As the campus lights shimmered to life, ‘Paskong Future-Ready’ stood as a message of hope and a reminder that Christmas remains magical not just in nostalgia, but also in the digital space when technology is utilized with compassion and ethical virtues.
