Instituting revolutionary ideas and breakthroughs in science and technology, the twelfth-grade Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students of the Basic Education Department (BED) showcased their innovative project prototypes in the Research Summit 2025โYear 3 at the NCF Covered Court on April 3.
With the theme โKaagidan SiyeNCeano: Weaving Insights through Futuristic Discoveries,” twenty-five research groups from the twelfth-grade STEM classes convened to present their groundbreaking outputs and initiate meaningful discourses on innovation, sustainability, and development that will greatly impact various communities and sectors of the future.
Taking pride in the recent feat of the senior STEM students, Ms. Rochelle P. Barbacena, research adviser, expressed her respect for her advisees as they embarked on the challenge of delivering unique capstone projects to the Tigers’ community.
โTo see them all with their twenty-five prototypes in one place, brought me so much respect for my STEM researchers. [I am] so happy for them for showing up at the Research Summit 2025 with all their pride,โ she remarked.
Further, the scholarly gathering served as an avenue for the senior STEM students to present their capstone projects aligned with the #NCFEducationxInnovation initiatives, while also addressing how societies would benefit from the newest scientific trends and discoveries.
Present in support of the event were Mr. Al-Noel A. Asis, Principal and AVP for BED; senior high school faculty members; and junior STEM students who keenly explored all twenty-five prototypes displayed.
