Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) successfully brought its TechXEd Roadshow to the Region V ASEAN Kick-Off Ceremony—spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office V (CHED ROV)—held on August 26, 2026, at The Marison Hotel, Legazpi City.
Aligning with the overarching vision of regional solidarity and technological advancement, NCF featured in its exhibition gallery its digital solutions and student-centric technologies, namely the Tiger Humanoid Robots, Virtual Reality assets, Tiger’s Digital Notebook, and MiMouse, that champion the genuine spirit of Filipinnovation.
NCF stood alongside fellow prominent exhibitors in the region, including Bicol University (BU), Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), and the National Museum of the Philippines-Bicol.
Adding cultural depth to the convention, Engr. Abdon Balde, an award-winning Bicolano writer, delivered a poignant talk on ‘Bicol Culture and Heritage,’ emphasizing the preservation of local identity amidst rapid modernization.
Anchored on the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together,” the regional gathering convened key officials, personnel, and student delegates from various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Bicolandia, alongside leadership and staff from CHED ROV led by Ms. Rachel D. Casimero, Chief Education Specialist, and Dr. Jean E. Cardiño, Chief Administrative Officer, who both conveyed inspiring addresses and strategic calls to action.
Dr. Sheila E. Balid-Bordado, Vice President for Digital Transformation, and Ms. Teenarose O. Castroverde, Vice President for Institutional Affairs, led the NCF delegation together with the personnel from the Digital Transformation Office, Technology Resource Center, and Institutional Affairs Office—demonstrating institutional commitment to digital transformation, institutional excellence, and transcultural competence.
Through this landmark showcase, NCF once more strengthened its standing as a pioneer of educational technology and a primary benchmark to regional integration, academic synergy, and forward-looking governance across Bicol’s higher education landscape.
