Radiating spiritual gratitude and academic triumph, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) officially commenced its graduation season for Higher Education with the Baccalaureate Mass, Investiture Ceremony, and Recognition Rites for nearly 1,200 candidates for graduation from six academic departments on the morning of June 25, 2026, at the NCF Grounds, NCF Main Campus.
The sacred and solemn Eucharistic celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Francis A. Tordilla, Rector of the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary and Director of the Caceres Commission on Communications for the Archdiocese of Caceres, who served as the main presider and homilist, alongside Rev. Fr. Ryan O. Fenis, School Chaplain, as concelebrant.
The holy sacrifice of the Mass gathered graduating students, supportive parents, and institutional builders from Graduate Studies and the Colleges of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Business and Management (CBM), Computer Studies (CCS), Health Sciences (CHS), and Teacher Education (CTED) to offer prayers of thanksgiving for years of academic resilience, dedication, and character-building ahead of their transition into the professional world.
Inspired by ‘Magnifica Humanitas’—an encyclical of Pope Leo XIV—Rev. Fr. Tordilla emphasized in his homily the “appreciation of the human person amidst the speedy development of artificial intelligence.”
“We cannot be measured by simply looking at our efficiency, and that is something that artificial intelligence could not replace us with; that is something that cannot outdo us… it is a heart that has an infinite hole, and that infinite hole can only be filled up by an infinite being, and that is God,” Rev. Fr. Tordilla said.
Following the spiritual send-off, thousands of parents, employees, and administrators bore witness to the prestigious investiture ceremony alongside the formal recognition rites, where the excellence and hard work of the graduating class were officially validated through the donning of academic hoods and caps, as well as the presentation of institutional merits.
During the recognition rites, the institution proudly conferred specialized academic honors, highlighting student breakthroughs through the Special Academic Awards on research, teaching internship, industry practicum, and business implementation, alongside the presentation of the Loyalty Award to long-standing NCF students.
Celebrating the collective triumph and standard of excellence manifested by these candidates, the ceremony honors tomorrow’s leaders and professionals who are equipped to carry the banner of the Home of the Champions into global and local industries.
