The Institute for Micro-credentials (IMC) of Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF), in collaboration with East West International Educational Specialists, Inc. (EWIES), held back-to-back orientation sessions on September 26–28, 2026, on industry-validated short-term certifications for over 400 senior nursing students from the College of Health Sciences (CHS) and nearly 100 freshmen from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
On September 26–27, 2026, IMC and EWIES convened senior nursing students via Zoom for a two-batch orientation on the Organizational Human Management (OHM) course.
Designed as a 24-hour soft-skills program, OHM equips pre-service healthcare professionals with essential leadership, interpersonal, and managerial competencies tailored for high-stakes clinical and organizational environments.
The initiative marks four consecutive years of tripartite partnership among IMC, EWIES, and CHS. Over three years of sustained implementation, CHS has consistently leveraged micro-credentials to augment traditional nursing curricula, offering certifications such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Word, Professional Business Communication, Cyberpsychology Associate, and now OHM.
Expanding the innovation-powered, progressive education into humanistic and administrative disciplines, IMC and EWIES subsequently held an orientation on September 28, 2026, via Zoom, for freshmen students specializing in English Language Studies, Communication, and Public Administration under CAS.
The session introduced the Certified Artificial Intelligence Professional (CAIP) program—a 32-hour, high-value certification aimed at bridging human-centered fields with emerging digital technologies.
The launch represents a historic first for CAS as the college logs its inaugural integration of micro-credentials into liberal arts and governance education since IMC’s inception in 2023.
Across both engagements, Mr. Brenn Yulo M. Bacus, Training and Communications Manager, articulated NCF’s proactive mandate to equip NCeans with future-proofed, interdisciplinary skill sets to ensure immediate employability and a competitive edge in an AI-augmented global workforce and rapidly evolving industry landscapes.
Ms. Aimee De Guzman, EWIES General Manager, detailed EWIES’ corporate track record in pioneering breakthrough innovations in the academe and industry, alongside the curriculum coverage, program requirements, and administrative guidelines governing both the 24-hour OHM and 32-hour CAIP courses.
These combined initiatives accentuate NCF’s steadfast dedication to pioneering interdisciplinary, industry-aligned education and strengthen its mission to produce holistically trained, technically proficient, and ethically grounded professionals ready to lead in their respective fields with the distinct Tiger edge.
