Marking a monumental milestone in its digital transformation journey, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) officially assumed full ownership and operational control of the NCF Student Information Management System (NSIMS) following its collaborative development with Oaktree Global Innovations, during a formal turnover held on September 25, 2026, at the NCF Board Room, NCF Main Campus.
The event signified the successful completion of the strategic collaboration between NCF’s Technology Resource Center (TRC) and Oaktree Global Innovations, which formally commenced on May 30, 2025, by virtue of a Memorandum of Agreement.
Engineered to serve both undergraduate and graduate studies, the NSIMS was designed to provide a centralized interface and seamless transaction experience for students, academic staff, and administrative personnel, while establishing real-time data management, security, and operational transparency across the institution.
The turnover officially transfers ownership of and full operational responsibility for the NSIMS application, codebases, and server environments to NCF. The comprehensive digital suite encompasses specialized portals for students, faculty, core administrators, the Registrar’s Office, and the Accounting and Finance Office.
The official turnover was led by Mr. Oscar Orven Aruta, Head of Operations at Oaktree Global Innovations, who formally presented the “reviewed and accepted deliverables” pertinent to NSIMS to Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President.
With full system control now vested in NCF, this milestone highlights the institution’s pledge to leverage advanced technology to streamline campus operations and deliver premier digital services to the entire Champions’ community.
The handover was witnessed by key executive leaders from both organizations, including Dr. Roger P. Villanueva, NCF Board Treasurer and Chief Finance Officer; Dr. Sheila E. Balid-Bordado, Vice President for Digital Transformation; Mr. Leandro Zulaybar, Head of Technology of Oaktree Global Innovations; Mr. Proceso P. Capagas, TRC Director, and Mr. Joseph C. Manansala, Head of Software Development and Data Management, alongside junior programmers who will oversee system maintenance and continuous optimization.
