Nurturing Talent: Inside the GDAP Academic Roadshow 2024 at NCF

The Panthera Tigris Game Developers Association (PTGDA), Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), and the College of Computer Studies College Student Council (CCS-CSC) joined forces for the GDAP Academic Roadshow 2024 at the ST Auditorium, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) on April 18-19. The event aimed to inspire and empower the next generation of game developers and enthusiasts through the intersection of academia and industry. 

Students, professionals, and industry experts gathered in this roadshow to exchange ideas, insights, and experiences in the fast-paced world of gaming and game development thereby engaging students and young professionals interested in exploring gaming intricacies academically and/or industrially.

Dr. Aida P. Osea, Executive Vice President, in her opening remarks, highlighted the significance of the event in fostering the zest of gaming enthusiasts, particularly students. She underlined the role of gaming as a tool for academic enrichment through interactive lectures. Dr. Osea expressed optimism about the event as a step towards the future, with evident innovations in the field being showcased.

The attendees were given the chance to participate in a series of engaging sessions, workshops, and discussions that were led by esteemed speakers and experts in the field. The roadshow provided a comprehensive platform for knowledge sharing and networking, with topics ranging from the latest trends in game design to the impact of technology on the gaming landscape.

Dr. Aida P. Osea, Executive Vice President, was present at the event alongside faculty and students from Senior High School and College of Computer Studies of NCF.
