In its steadfast commitment to producing globally competitive healthcare professionals, the Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) acquired the SMART STAT Patient Simulatorโ€”a wireless and tetherless human manikin designed to offer realistic patient-care training for the students at the College of Health Sciences (CHS).

On February 3, the nursing clinical instructors, led by Dr. Stanley O. Dy, Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences and CHS Dean, underwent a seminar-training sponsored by Science Gear Enterprises, to have an intensive learning and demonstration of the newly acquired medical apparatus.

According to Simulaids UKโ€™s official website, the SMART STAT Patient Simulator is an iPad-operated, advanced facility with a specialized software program that focuses on the actual medical practices that may be utilized in classroom instruction and educational delivery for the students.

The new state-of-the-art acquisition aims to establish a genuine healthcare setup for future nurses and other allied disciplines in administering assessments and procedures for adequate exposure and expertise in attending to patientsโ€™ needs.

It is recalled that NCF also purchased various million-worth healthcare facilities including a Delivery Model Simulator, a Compound Microscope, a Transparent Catheter Trainer, a Human Shelter, a Multipurpose Operating Table, and Alexโ€”an AI-enhanced human patient simulatorโ€”to ensure that the adequacy of knowledge, quality exposure, and first-hand experiences to the simulation of the hospital setting are guaranteed.
