Naga College Foundation proudly salutes Dr. Guillermo P. Gastelo, a faculty of the NCF Liberal Arts & Education Department.  Out of the 156 nationwide nominations, Dr. Gastelo has been named and included in the 40 regional finalists of the Metrobank Foundation 2010 Search for Outstanding Teachers.  These 40 finalists constitute of 8 teachers from the tertiary level and 16 teachers from the secondary and elementary levels each.  Dr. Gastelo is included in the tertiary level of teachers and is to advance to the semi-final judging phase which would consist of a panel interview and a teaching demonstration on the finalist’s respective fields of specialization.

Today, the Metrobank search is on its 26th year and continuous to honor the teaching profession through special recognition to teachers who manifest profound commitment to the development of the youth through exemplary competence, remarkable dedication to their work, and effective educational leadership.  The exceptional teacher would receive a plaque and a cash prize amounting to P300,000.
