The NCF community commemorates on April 27 the death anniversary of
LOURDES PECKSON VILLANUEVA -  wife of Dr. Melchor T. Villanueva (NCF founder)

Lourdes Peckson Villanueva is the wife, partner and inspiration of Dr. Melchor Trinidad Villanueva (NCF founder) in realizing his vision – that is, Naga College Foundation.

Lola Lourdes was a native of Calasiao, Pangasinan. She was the only daughter of Hon. Jose Peckson, former Mayor of their town and a member of the Second Philippine Assembly. 

Lola Lourdes and Lolo Mel were colleagues at the Philippine Normal School before they got married on December 27, 1930.  Like Lolo Mel, Lola Lourdes was also an educator.  She served as an Elementary teacher before finally dedicating herself to Naga College Foundation as the School’s Treasurer.  Both are lovers of music. While Lolo Mel was into violin, Lola Lourdes loved to play the piano.

Lola Lourdes passed away at the age of 80.  She will forever live on and be remembered by her family.
