Naga College Foundation was the venue of an open forum organized by the Liberal Party (LP) last March 16, 2010. The party was led by standard bearer Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Sen. Manuel "Mar" Roxas II. Naga City Officials who spearheaded this activity were also present together with the other Liberal Party Senatorial Candidates. Prior to their visit to NCF, the group was welcomed by Nagueños during a grand motorcade.
The open form gave way for NCeans and Nagueños to clear out certain issues as Sen. Noynoy Aquino willingly answered questions from the audience. Matters discussed range from Land Reform Concerns, Education Stability and Power Crisis Solutions. The forum also entertained suggestions wherein one supporter specifically laid down her view on Bank Issues and Credit Privileges on Housing Projects. The Senator keenly accepted those suggestions and said that he would look into these issues if elected… though he could not promise anything yet. The Senator was also asked on his stand on corruption and how in his capacity he could prevent such. The Senator in turn expressed his roots as he came from noble parents who in their lifetime never instilled such dishonesty in his system. He also mentioned his track record of integrity.
Wrapping-up the open forum, the Party expressed their gratitude of the warm welcome by Nagueños. The group subsequently visited Daet, Camarines Norte afterwards.
