Naga College Foundation paid tribute to its Achievers and the 2010 Graduates in a Band Concert held last February 27 at the NCF Quad. The program was hosted by Mr. Danilo Roquid Jr. and Ms. Nhel Russelle Monroy who, in their own right, are NCF achievers themselves. Their team up was greatly praised as they articulately did their tasks infront of a deafening yet very enthusiastic crowd.
The event was a pre-celebration to Naga College Foundation’s 63rd Anniversary and was an instrument to commend the numerous men, women and organizations who gave honor to this institution. The featured front acts are NCF Students and Alumni as well. The Barandana Republic Band consists of 10 members who were part of the NCF Concert & Marching Band during their college years. They shifted from classical to reggae music. While the Blue Kaldero Band are current students of NCF who admire the late Francis Magalona hence also focusing their songs to the King of Rap.
The highlight of the concert was SHAMROCK. The crowd went gaga over Shamrock’s vocalist Marc Tupaz as he sang their hit songs Alipin, Hold On and Sana. The other band members - bassist Sam Santos, guitarist Nico Capistrano and drummer Harald Huyssen - also performed with gusto to the delight of the audience.
Naga College Foundation acknowledges Globe Telecom for sponsoring the event.
