The 29th of September 2009 was an exceptional day for Naga College Foundation as the widow of our late Senator Raul S. Roco paid a visit to Naga College Foundation. Ms. Sonia M. Roco was all smiles as she greeted the ‘welcome party’ consisting of Mr. Al-Noel L. Asis, Basic Education Administrative Assistant; Ms. Alita P. Ballarda; Sctr. Danilo C. Roquid Jr. and a group of Boy Scouts representing the Senior Scouts Outfit.
Ms. Roco was received by NCF President Dr. Carlo P. Villanueva and the members of the School’s Executive Committee. The team of Ms. Roco proceeded to the High School Computer Laboratory to view the posters done during the Environmental Artwork Competition and the Audio Visual Presentation of all the achievements of MASK or the Mata Ayaw Sa Kalat project. The MASK project is an Environmental Advocacy initially concentrated at Barangay Carolina, Naga City. The project aims to maintain cleanliness within the Barangay especially along the Inarihan Stream.
Ms. Roco, as the Chair-founder of the prominent Raul S. Roco Foundation, together with her daughter, Ms. Pia Roco, personally visited the finalists of the RAUL S. ROCO YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS 2009, which includes the MASK of NCF-BSP. The team of Roco gave positive comments to the NCF’s MASK project.
After the visit at NCF, the group together with the Senior Scouts Outfit and the Basic Education Principal, Mr. Ramon H. Nuiz, proceeded to Barangay Carolina to further evaluate the MASK project of NCF-BSP.
